1. Talk to an Admissions Counselor

After completing the online form on our website, one of our admissions counselors will schedule a call or a meeting to discuss your academic qualifications and professional goals. During this conversation, your counselor can also answer any questions you have about our program and help you determine if it’s a good match for you.

2. Make an Academic Plan

Your admissions counselor will help you devise a plan to stay on track for your target start date in the ABSN program — January, May, or August.

3. Complete the Prerequisites

While you don’t need any prior experience working in health care or nursing to apply, you do need to meet our academic requirements. Register for and take all the necessary prerequisite courses, passing with a grade of “C” or higher.

4. Apply to the ABSN Program

Complete the ABSN program application online, making sure to submit:

  • Your online application to Misericordia University.
  • Your official transcripts from each regionally accredited school you’ve attended.

Please note that while our Nursing Department doesn’t charge an application fee, you are required to pay for a drug test, a background check, immunizations, and other related health screenings prior to entering the ABSN program.
